Although the chapel has long since disappeared the site during the Middle Ages was a major pilgrimage location the significance of which has been largely overlooked . The walk will visit the site of the Chapel, the Holy Well and the immediate area and review the usage of the location in the Middle Ages in the context of the prevailing Cult of Saints.
